July 17 – September 4
The Fourth Wall is pleased to present Color Travels, a solo show of paintings by San Francisco artist, Michele Foyer. The exhibition includes Foyer's recent Flex-Flux series. Somewhere between works on paper and sculptural constructions, these works are an exploration of the transitory nature of color and form. "My paintings focus on the movement intrinsic to color and its non-linear qualities of relation, resonance and rhyme. The works explore perception and how objects, people and even ideas hold disparate times, places and modes of ordering experience in an often tenuous aggregate." Foyer's Flows series, on view in the hallway gallery, is a group of small paintings on canvas, which include thick layers of flashe and acrylic. These works investigate time and material.
